Charlotte unveils her latest designs, SHIMA, meaning "island" in Japanese. An elaboration on one of her first iconic pieces, TURTLE.
The collection, an exploration of shell-inspired ornaments, pays hommage to her early influences, Jean Arp and Barbara Hepworth. Charlotte employed a new creative approach, involving sculpting and carving, creating a small space within the piece, which can be sterling silver, vermeil, crystal or onyx. "I've drawn voids within the mass, to create outlines, define a space, on the lobe, the neck, the ear or the finger," shares Charlotte.
